Strip District Brunch Tour

Over the past 20 years, the Strip District Market has truly become an international destination for both locals and tourists alike. What once was Pittsburgh’s wholesale produce distribution hub has become vibrant food-centric marketplace. A melting pot of flavors, this neighborhood in transition features flavors from a wide variety of cultures including Italian, Greek, Asian, Middle Eastern, African Caribbean, and more.

Join us as we deconstruct a beloved weekend ritual – brunch – featuring local purveyors along Penn Avenue and a few surprise locations just off-the-beaten path. Learn about the history of The Strip while indulging in biscotti, nitro coffee, apple mele pastry, pepperoni roll, potato pancake, a sensational sandwich, tiny donuts, and even a lobster roll! Brunch has never been this fun!

Extend the Tour to Wigle Whiskey!

Interested in extending your tour? At the conclusion of the Brunch Tour, join us for a private tasting tour at Wigle Whiskey. You will have some time to revisit a few shops along Penn Avenue. Then we will head over Wigle’s distillery located right in The Strip, which is only a short walk from the last Brunch Tour tasting stop.

The tour kicks off with your choice of a craft cocktail. Then we will explore the production area, engage in a lively discussion about the distillation process, and learn the history of the Whiskey Rebellion told through the eyes of their namesake, Philip Wigle. The tour then concludes with a whiskey tasting flight right in the middle of the production area.

“We have probably been to the Strip District dozens of times, but never like this. The brunch tour was a fun way to spend the day with friends. We learned a little history, heard about future plans for the area, and enjoyed some of the current flavors. This outing would be a good choice whether you are new to the area or have been here for generations.”
